These roles pay well for backpackers due to their casual nature. The minimum wage for bar staff is $30.10 an hour in a casual position while it is $60.20 on a public holiday so there are plenty of opportunities for backpackers to save while they are staying in Fremantle.
Another option for backpackers is to work in restaurants or cafes as a waiter or waitress. Work is readily available, and with casual positions available hours are easily picked up when reliability is shown.
